Is this a well written prologue that makes you want to read the book?

Interesting! I was wondering what Alimundus was and then I read about Ciopeia and I was like ohhh it's an alternate universe! (Is it?) I would definitely want to read this. One small thing: when the old woman is enchanting Ciopeia, wouldn't she be using just spells as opposed to curses?
