Trainer boots - are they just for teenagers?

If you like the trainers, get them. You've said they look ideal and comfortable to you - so that would be reason enough for me. They way trends phase in and out, if they're in - they will be out soon...and if they're out, then it's only a matter of time before the cycle back in. I prefer to create my own style that reflects my personality and is fun to wear. Create a style that's your own too - you'd be surprised how fun it is and how many people will follow your move.
