Is wikipedia a reliable site?

i am doing a huge project and need to write a biography on langston hughes. i want to use wikipedia becasue it has givin me a lot of info, but i understand that people can edit it and add whatever they want so somethings in it could be false. i need help quick. please answer truthfully and if u have any suggestens on a site or so where i can get a good reliable biography please let me know
