Is it ok to make a batch of fish pie to be eaten on the next following day?. Can it be reheated?

does it have to be thawed before popping it into the oven???>.i dont intend to use potato but pastry...im bringing a batch over to a friend...would it be ok to take it out from the fridge and travel about 5 minutes and popping it back into the fridge until dinner???...will thawing gives soggyness to the pie???
