I need help with my story?

I am writing a story about vampires because lately i have become very attracted to theire dagerous nature. I don't want my story tocome across as a bad twilight or vampire diaries retell. that is why i need help figuring out a plot. Something to happen in my book like a main idea although something that has not happened intwilight or vamp diaries. I also need help developing my main character. I have decided iwant him to be a boy. A bad ***.somewhat of across between dean whinchester and damon salvaatore and a little like wwe superstar randy orton. I am debating between the names Wyatt ans Jensen. please tell me which one you like better. and help me develope my character more.
